  • The combining function is commonly handled through the use of collection conveyors
  • Various ingredients are added to the flow either volumetrically or by weight
  • The proportioning device could be a metering unit, weigh belt, or electromagnetic feed conveyor
  • Proportioning of ingredients can also take place at the scale head itself
  • Blending of the ingredients can be performed by a mixing drum
